The strawberries and cream is inspired by another favorite dessert that everyone loves. Finally the date and chocolate overnight oats are so comforting, lightly sweet, but full of healthy ingredients. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Questions For Overnight Oats:
What Makes Overnight Oats Good?
What makes good overnight oats is the correct ratio of oats to liquid. You want a 2:1 ratio of liquid to oats for good overnight oats. You can use any liquid you want but some will have more flavor than others. For extra good overnight oats, you want to use a liquid that has a little fat in it. Whole milk or coconut milk is a great option for something really filling. If you want something a little leaner, using an almond or oat milk is a great option that contains fewer calories but still has some flavor.
What is the Best Container For Overnight Oats?
The best container for overnight oats is a jar or sealable Tupperware. As long as you have space to stir the oats with the liquid, any container will work for overnight oats! Glass jars are great for overnight oats because any dried oats that may be sticking to the jars, come off easily from glass.
You can use any container for overnights, however! Since you are not microwaving anything, it does not really matter what container you put the oats in.
What To Serve with Overnight Oats?
Overnight oats are a delicious breakfast but if you need some extra breakfast dishes to serve alongside, I have two savory frittata recipes that can also be meal prepped!
Try Cheese Mushroom and Leek Frittata with these overnight oats!
Try a Bacon and Arugula Frittata for something super filling!
How To Add Extra Protein To Overnight Oats?
To add extra protein to overnight oats, you can use yogurt to make overnight oats. Vanilla yogurt is a great option for adding protein to your overnight oats. If you are looking for a dairy free option to add protein, you can mix your favorite protein powder with the coconut milk to add a serving of protein!
